Glass Frit for Electrodes of

Non-Polluting Energy Source, Solar Cell

  • Photovoltaics convert solar energy into
    electricity without emitting carbon dioxide
    or pollutants
    , unlike conventional power.

  • A solar cell is a semiconductor device that converts the energy of sunlight directly
into electricity by the photovoltaic effect.

  • A solar cell is made up of an n-type and a p-type semiconductor. If the photon energy exceeds
the band gap energy, an electron-hole pair is formed. Electrons and holes move in opposite directions
by electric fields generated at the PN junction, causing currents to flow through external wires.

In Collaboration with Our Customers,

We Provide
Customized Glass Frits for Their Front Electrode of a Solar Cell.

Our glass frit for the front electrode achieves high Voc with minimal cell damage, low contact resistance,
and acceleration of the sintering of silver (Ag) powder. By controlling the firing margin sufficiently,
our glass frit shows low variation of efficiency.

Glass Frit Requirements

  • Etching ARC Layer(SiNx, Al2O3)
  • Adhesion of Bus Bar & Wafer
  • Excellent Contact with Wafer
  • Wide Firing Window
  • Excellent Sintering Properties with Silver (Ag) Powder
